As part of its 10th Anniversary Year Celebrations and its Youth Development program, the Mayor’s Office on African Affairs (MOAA) will host its second Young African ConneXions Annual Summit titled Impact through Leadership, Civic Engagement, and Social Entrepreneurship on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Howard University School of Business Auditorium located at 2600 6th Street, NW from 5 pm to 8 pm. In partnership with the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Howard University, and Wagner Mandela Washington Fellowship, Wagner College, the summit will feature a two-part panel discussion with the first session exploring themes of cultivating youth leadership, promoting volunteerism and encouraging advocacy to build communities. The second panel session will focus on the importance of generating innovative ideas, tapping into technology, and mobilizing networks to provide meaningful solutions to pressing problems of both continental African and African Diaspora communities.
